I have received a call from the same number 001 408 376 7400 at 5.30pm this morning. I am ex-directory and only ebay would have my number on my account. I checked the dialling code 0014 and it appears to come from Brazil. I spoke to ebay customer service this morning and they heard of this number before yet there are dozens of complaints about it since 2009. The ebay customer service, who by the way was answering from a call centre in the Philippines, said they would investigate in due course. When I threaten to go to the media about my personal data on eBay being available to someone in Brazil they then escalated the complaint to be dealt with within 48 hours. I will keep you updated with the outcome.
